Kinder Camp was a huge success! 🎉🍎

We sincerely appreciate our amazing Kindergarten teachers for taking the time to welcome and host our incoming students. Kindergarten Camp was filled with excitement, learning, and lots of smiles!

Our newest learners had the opportunity to reunite with friends, meet new classmates, and get a fun, engaging introduction to Kindergarten life at W.O. Lance. It was a joyful and beneficial experience that has set the tone for a fantastic school year ahead.

Last week, W.O. Lance Elementary teachers came together for our first annual Summer Learning Retreat! ✨📚
This exclusive retreat was designed especially for our incredible faculty and staff, offering a unique blend of professional learning, collaboration, and fun. Held in a relaxed but purposeful environment, the retreat focused on strengthening our instructional practices to support student achievement and targeted instruction.
🔹 Day 1 was led by, Dr. Sylvia Haslam, who set the tone for a powerful and inspiring retreat.
🔹 Day 2 featured Dr. Christopher Blair, CEO of Research and Development, LLC, who brought valuable insights and strategies to elevate our teaching.

Welcome W.O. Lance Elementary's Assistant Principal It's a Great Day to be a Panther! Lanett City Schools is excited to announce that Mrs. Breeana McCants has been selected as the new Assistant Principal at W.O. Lance Elementary.With over ten years of experience in education and a passion for student achievement, she is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging school environment. Mrs. McCants holds an Education Specialist and a Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership and Administration from Troy University, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University and Auburn University at Montgomery, respectively. She looks forward to working closely with students, staff, and families to support academic success and a strong school community.  In her free time, Mrs. McCants enjoys traveling, singing in the choir, and spending quality time with her husband and their children. She is a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church where she serves in various capacities. Mrs. McCants is thrilled to return home and is deeply honored to serve the W. O. Lance community. She eagerly anticipates a year filled with growth, collaboration, and success.
