Reminders Lanett City Schools will be closed Monday, May 25th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Wednesday, May 27th is the last day of school for students. Students will be dismissed at 11:30. Each school will outlined specific dismissal details.

REMINDER: Field Day will be held on May 22. Parent/Guardian sign-ups will close on May 20, so please be sure to complete the QR code registration before the deadline. Concessions will be available for purchase, with items ranging from $0.50 to $5.00. If your child will be participating in water activities, please send a change of clothes. Students may wear appropriate casual or athletic attire for the day. Closed-toe shoes are strongly encouraged for safety.

Plastic Zip Top Bag 1 Gallon Re-Sealable Clear Wallets, billfolds, clutches, etc. no larger than 6.5" x 4.5" x 1" are permitted. May include handle or strap. Seat cushions are permitted (pockets are subject to inspection). Necessary medical bags are subject to inspection. W. O. Lance Elementary School Kindergarten Graduation and Morning of Honor Ceremonies Kindergarten Graduation May 21st 9:30 AM EST Sixth Grade Graduation May 21st 1:00 P.M. EST Grades 1-2 Morning of Honor May 26th at 9:00 AM EST Grades 3-5 Morning of Honor May 26th at 11:30 AM EST Kindergarten and Sixth Grade Graduation : Verdis F. Bible Fine Arts Center (LHS Auditorium) Graduation Event Attire: School uniform or Sunday's best clothes. Shoes must be in compliance with the regular school uniform. No Crocs please, please wear flat and comfortable shoes. Caps and gowns for Kindergarten graduation will remain at school until the day of graduation. We will steam them and ensure that all students are dressed appropriately before the ceremonies. Please be advised that up hairstyles may prevent the cap from fitting properly. Grades 1-5 Awards Day Ceremonies : W. O. Lance Elementary School Gym Honor Event Attire: School Uniforms or Fun Festive Tropical Attire -students and parents may participate! Ceremony Etiquette for the Kindergarten Graduation and Awards Day Ceremonies All policies and procedures will be strictly enforced. No food, drink, or gum will be allowed in the auditorium. Please don’t save or reserve seats until your guests arrive. Three tickets will be issued per student for the awards ceremonies- due to limited seating, No tickets will be issued per student for the Kindergarten graduation. Due to fire codes, no one will be allowed to sit or stand in aisles during the ceremonies. Please do not stand to film or record ceremonies. You may hinder the view of others. Please remain seated throughout the ceremony.
