Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to share an important update regarding the school closure at W.O. Lance Elementary that occurred on January 14, 2026, due to water-related issues.

The Alabama State Department of Education has approved our request for a make-up day. As a result, Monday, February 16, will serve as the make-up day for students. On this day, school will operate on a normal schedule.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work to ensure that instructional time is made up in accordance with state requirements. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.
