Emily Smith Staff Photo

I grew up in Lanett and when through Central Elementary School (now W. O. Lance Elementary). I transferred over to Lafayette Christian School in LaGrange, Georgia during junior and high school. I graduated from high school in the Spring of 2013, and, in the Fall, I moved to a small north Georgia town called Toccoa Falls, where I attended Toccoa Falls College. I worked hard to maintain Dean's List while I was in college, and in the Spring of 2017, I graduated with honors with my Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education. Since graduating, I have obtained my teaching certificates in Georgia and Alabama, which both allow me to teach all levels of elementary education, P-6.

The 2018-2019 school year is my 2nd year teaching! I began in 2017 at Lanett teaching 3rd grade, and now I am teaching Pre-K! Though this is only the beginning of my career, I had may opportunities to be in the classroom during my time at Toccoa Falls College. I worked in 2 different field experience placements, where I worked with 3rd and 4th grades. During my senior year inernship, I completed a full year as a co-teacher in 2nd grade.

Hello there!!

My name is Emily Smith! I have lived in Lanett, AL almost my entire life. After I graduated high school, I moved up to North Georgia to attend college (GO TFC Screaming Eagles!!), but now I am back in my hometown. I have one very sweet, loving kitten named Winnie. When I'm not at the school, I'm more than likely doing one of three things: walking outside for some fresh air and exercise, eating at El Rio (my family's FAVORITE restauraunt), or relaxing at home with my kitten.
