B.S. Degree - Elementary Education, University of South Alabama

Master's Degree - Library Media, Auburn University

I spent 12 years in the classroom as a kindergarten teacher.  In addition, I have worked through Title I helping with reading intervention for K-6th grade.  I am looking forward to this year as the Library Media Specialist at W.O. Lance Elementary School.

My name is Candy Crance.  I am married and have three daughters.   My home is Auburn, Alabama.  Some of my favorites are: READING, ANYTHING OUTDOORS, RAISING CHICKENS AND SPENDING TIME WITH MY FAMILY!

As the media specialist, I am excited about creating a 21st century environment that promotes learning for all students by providing equitable access to information, teaching information literacy skills, and encouraging lifelong learners.  The library media center strives to be a center of collaborative learning that produces creative students who have an appreciation of literature, critical thinking skills, and love for reading!  The library will support the curriculum by collaborating with teachers, developing a collection and implementing literacy instruction for students.
