Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbus State University

Master Degree in Education from Troy University


I taught pre-k for 2 years in Hogansville, Georgia and Columbus, Georgia.  I was also the Education Specialist for Enrichment Services Programs in Columbus, Georgia.

I taught 1st grade in Russell County at Mt. Olive Elementary School.

I am currently teaching at W.O. Lance Elementary.  I have taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade. The 5th and 6th grade is known as the Academic Academy.

I currently teach 5th grade. I teach all subjects: reading, math, language, spelling, writing, science, and social studies.


I moved to Lanett, Alabama in 1983 after graduating from Manchester High School. I attended Columbus State University and earned my Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education. I returned to school several years later and earned by Master's Degree from Troy State University.

I am married and we have one son, named Logan Ragsdale. He is attending Columbus State University, this will be his second year. He plans to earn a degree in Secondary Education.
