Subjects Taught

I graduated from Lanett High School in 2004.

I received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University in 2008, and then in 2010, I received a master's degree from Troy University in Elementary Education . I graduated with my Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Teacher Leader May of 2017. I am currently enrolled at Troy University in the Instructional Leadership and Administration program.  I plan to have my ILA certificate in Decemeber 2017.

I am a highly qualified teacher that is certified to teach reading K-12 and teach all subjects K-6.

I am AMSTI trained in both math and science for first grade and partially trained in second grade science.

I am ARI trained.

This is my tenth year as an educator with Lanett City Schools. I have taught both first and second grade. For five years, I taught first grade and my first year of teaching, I taught second grade. I am excited to begin my fourth year as the Reading Instructional Coach for the district.  Although first grade may have won my heart long ago, my true passion is to see ALL students increase their level of achievement and work at their full potential.

It was my honor and privilege of being chosen Teacher of the Year for W.O. Lance for 2014-2015 school year.

I grew up in the Valley area, and currently I live in Lee County. I've been married a little over nine years. I am the proud mother of a sweet little girl. I attend church at Next Ministries in Lanett.

I live off of Dr. Pepper, Mexican food, and sour candy. :) My passions are my faith and empowering our youth.
